Editorial byline
Every article, guide, tool and template on this site is attributed to UK JournoHub Editorial— an Organization-as-author under schema.org — rather than an invented persona. This is a deliberate transparency choice: we don't pretend a single named person produced everything.
You can see this attribution in every page's Article JSON-LD (view source, search for “UK JournoHub Editorial”). Search engines and AI crawlers use it to attribute this site's content correctly.
How pages are reviewed
- Primary drafting — every page is drafted from primary sources (legislation.gov.uk, BAILII, IPSO/IMPRESS codes, Ofcom guidance, NUJ Code, official regulator publications). See our methodology.
- Fact-check pass — every statute reference, case citation, URL and rate figure is verified against the live source before publication. Landmark case URLs are HEAD-checked by
scripts/crawl/verify-bailii.mjsand statute quotes byverify-legislation.mjs. - Named external review (where available) — legal and professional pages carry a Reviewed by block naming the practising specialist who has reviewed the guidance. When we have not yet secured a named reviewer for a page, we do not fake one — the page shows only the standard editorial byline.
- Public corrections log — every substantive change lives in the public corrections log, dated and cited. Small typo/style fixes are not logged.
Editorial Advisory Board — forming
We are forming an editorial advisory board of practising UK media-law practitioners, working editors and journalism educators to review key sections. If you meet one of the profiles below and would like to be considered, please get in touch.
- UK media-law solicitor or barrister (defamation, privacy, contempt, source protection)
- Working or recently retired UK editor (regional or national)
- Journalism educator at an NCTJ/BJTC-accredited course
- Working court reporter (magistrates, Crown, family, coroner)
- Working freelance NUJ member
- Working investigative reporter
Advisory board members receive no fee. Attribution is limited to the pages they review.
