About UK JornoHub
Free resources, ethical guidance, and practical tools for every UK journalist.
Our Mission
We believe every UK journalist deserves free access to professional-grade resources, ethical guidance, and practical tools — regardless of whether they work for a national paper or freelance from their kitchen table.
Who We Are
UK JornoHub was built by a team of experienced UK journalists and media professionals who saw a gap — no single, comprehensive, free resource hub existed for UK journalists.
Whether you’re a staff reporter at a regional daily, an investigative freelancer, a multimedia journalist, or a recent graduate looking to break in, we wanted to create somewhere you could find reliable, up-to-date information without a paywall or a sales pitch.
We’re independent, non-commercial, and committed to supporting the profession we love. Our team draws on decades of combined experience across national newspapers, regional media, broadcast, and digital-first outlets.
Our Editorial Standards
We hold ourselves to the same standards we advocate for. All content on UK JornoHub is:
- ✓Fact-checked: Every guide and resource is reviewed for accuracy before publication and regularly audited thereafter.
- ✓Regularly updated: Laws change, rates shift, and organisations evolve. We review all content on a rolling schedule to keep it current.
- ✓Sourced from official bodies: Our ethics codes, legal information, and regulatory guidance are sourced directly from the NUJ, IPSO, IMPRESS, ICO, and other relevant bodies.
- ✓Clearly labelled: When figures are illustrative (such as freelance rates) or when content is for general information rather than legal advice, we say so clearly.
